The SBMF Needs Your Help

Shalom Brothers and Sisters in Mashiach Yeshua.   The grace of the L-rd Jesus Christ, and the love of G-d, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.

The North American Mission Board is sponsoring the Southern Baptist Messianic Fellowship (SBMF) to have a booth on the exhibit floor of the SBC Annual Meeting in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Baruch Ha'Shem Yeshua (Praise the Name of Jesus).

The work to accomplish this task has been moving on since we receive permission from NAMB.  The SBMF is responsible for the funding of this project.  The cost of this booth will be above the regular costs of our SBMF Annual Meetings.  We need the help of the saints.  Our SBMF is a small but growing ministry of the Southern Baptist Convention.  We need help to defer the costs of this booth project.

As Messianic Jews and non-Jews (1 Corinthians 12:13-14; Romans 1:16-17; Romans 10:12-13), we look to the beautiful mosaic of love and guidance that G-d has laid out for us in the fullness of His Word. From Genesis to Revelation, the L-rd reveals a road-map to salvation that with every hill, valley and turn points both Jew and non-Jew to the Anointed One, Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah. In His Word the Holy Days, prophecies and teachings cry out with the message of Salvation for all nations. As Messianic Jews and non-Jews we invite all to join us in experiencing the incredible blessings that are found in the fullness of God's plan of Salvation.

We at the Southern Baptist Messianic Fellowship work together to help one another in the fellowship of prayer, training and resource recommendation.  We have members in the United States and abroad.  However our main area of service is in North America (Acts 1:8).  We are blessed to serve as an ethnic and language work of the Southern Baptist Convention and the North American Mission Board. One of the largest populations of Jewish people located is in North America. 

Our main objective is to help lead the lost to eternal life in Mashiach Yeshua (Messiah Yeshua).  We work together to build up sound and grounded Messianic believers into missionaries and ministers that will go out and share life and light.  As a fellowship of Southern Baptists we work together to help start new works in Jewish evangelism such as Messianic Congregations.  We work with the local Church, NAMB, local associations and state associations to plant congregations who will reach the lost remnant of Israel.  We also help to train and find recourses to equip Messianic missionaries for their service in the mission fields. As a group of Messianic Jewish ministries that serve in North America, we are looking to find or help train up missionaries willing to do the good work right here in the USA.  We are looking for some local churches willing to sponsor and help start new works in Jewish Evangelism. 

We have a small problem.  Many SBC brothers and sisters have no idea that the SBMF exists to assist them in Jewish Evangelism.  They don’t know that we have highly qualified people to come and train them in Jewish Evangelism.  They don’t know that our members can come and lead Passover Seders and other teachings.  We have heard from many SBC Church members that they had someone from other Messianic Jewish ministries come to lead Passover Seders or teach them Jewish Evangelism.  These Messianic groups are outside the SBC. 

The SBMF is a Jewish Evangelism arm of the Southern Baptist Convention and we work closely with NAMB Church Planting, Ethnic and Language Evangelism.  We have now been recognized as an official ethnic and language ministry of the North American Mission Board.  We need to be more visible to our SBC brothers and sisters.  We would like to tell our SBC brothers and sisters who we are and how we can help them share Christ with the Jewish people in their neighborhoods.  We would also like to form some strong partnerships with the local SBC church.  With G-d’s guidance this booth that we are planning will be a way to make that happen.  The leadership of the SBMF believes that this is the next step that we should take to be better servants to our brothers and sisters in SBC.

This is one of the main projects we have been working on for the last several years.   There are so few local SBC churches that know we exist.  Please think of publications and materials that will let our SBC brothers and sisters know who we are, how we can help them minister Jesus Christ to the Jewish people in their neighborhoods and how they can help us minister Yeshua to our Jewish kinsman.  This is our opportunity to find and develop partnerships with local SBC Churches who are looking for a Jewish evangelism effort to support and pray for the Kingdom work we do.

The main purpose of this booth is to spread the news that we are in the SBC to serve the SBC saints and help lead both Jew and Gentile to the L-rd and the salvation of His grace.  While serving at the booth we pray that we will be able to form partnerships with our SBC brothers and sisters.  We pray that our booth will be the venue for us to form partnerships with the local church, the local SBC association and the state conventions.  We pray than many new works and missionaries will be helped to get their ministries up and running and off the ground.  We pray that the SBMF will be able to help many missionaries to become trained up to serve both here in North America and in the foreign mission field.

This letter is a request for help.  We are in need of supply form the L-rd through His saints.  We have prayed and asked for our L-rd’s supply and He has led us to you, His Kingdom saints.  Please pray and consider how you can help the Southern Baptist Messianic Fellowship fund this SBC Annual Meeting exhibit floor booth at the convention in Indianapolis Indiana.
