As of this date we are scheduled to meet Saturday for Yeshiva and Business meetings.  If you know of any Messianic Congregations in the Greensboro, NC area, please contact me via e-mail.

We have been blessed by our brothers and sisters in the SBC.  Our Friday evening, Erev Shabbat Worship Service, our Shabbat Yeshiva and the Annual SBMF Business Meeting will be held in the Augusta A& B Room on Level Three in the Sheraton Four-Seasons.

The dates for our meetings are scheduled for June 9th,10th & 11th, of 2006.  Many of our brothers and sisters wish to attend the SBC Pastors Conference that starts Sunday evening.  We will have Davidic Worship Dance training on Sunday afternoon.  Attendance to this training is a voluntary.  Those of us who don't dance, are invited to gather in fellowship.

Guest Speaker From The North American Mission Board Of The Southern Baptist Convention

Dr. Stetzer (NAMB) will be speaking on an area where he has a great deal of experience.  He will teach Effective Planting of Successful New Works.  Dr. Stetzer will bless us with a Biblical teaching, we will find useful.  I expect that he will also give us a great deal of information on how we can work closer with NAMB.  Dr Stetzer will start speaking at 8:30 a.m.

NAMB - Director of Research, Missiologist - coordinate and oversee mission research of the North American culture and churches for greater evangelistic and church planting effectiveness.  Partner Enlistment Manager and Manager of Strategic Networks.  Directed the Nehemiah Project and partnerships with colleges, seminaries, and institutions.   Led the Nehemiah Project to increase church planter deployments to 122 in 2003.  Created video classes for Introduction to Church Planting classes.   Wrote scholarly articles to support the church planting program.  1998-2001 Nehemiah Project Professor.  Church Planter and Teaching Pastor.

Guest Speaker From Word Of Messiah Ministries

Rabbi Sam Nadler will be teaching:  Messianic Apologetics, a defense not of His Messiahship, but of a balanced messianic approach, especially as to congregation planting. This includes the necessity of the Gentile Believers in the messianic movement.  Rabbi Nadler will start teaching at 10:30 a.m.

Sam is a Jewish believer in Jesus who  has a passion to communicate the Good News to his people, and to see discipleship established in Jewish communities around the world.  Raised in New York City according to Jewish tradition, Sam hungered for what the Messiah of Israel alone can give: atonement and new life.  After finding Yeshua (Jesus) as his Messiah, Sam has been in full-time service for Him since the early 70's.  First as a leader with Jews for Jesus, he established their New York City ministry. Later as President of Chosen People Ministries, he established international outreach, discipleship programs, congregational planting and leadership development in Israel, the Ukraine, Germany, South America, Canada as well as the United States.  As president of Word of Messiah Ministries, Sam is continuing to develop leaders & outreach to make a world-wide impact for the Gospel among his Jewish People.

Worship Leader News:

Our Worship Music will be lead by Rabbi & Pastor Ken Alpren (Congregation Kol Dodi, Nashville, TN.

Ken Alpren grew up in a Jewish home and became a believer in Jesus as a young adult through a Christian businessman's witness in the suburbs of Philadelphia.

Following a call to the ministry, Ken attended Bible College, ministered in New York City, led missionary teams to Israel, Cyprus, and Europe, and served as chaplain on board a mission ship in the Caribbean. During this time he planted churches in New York and Pennsylvania. While establishing a Messianic congregation in Nashville, Tennessee, Ken married his wife Frances (also Jewish) and they were blessed with children, Samuel and Ashira.

Asked to join Chosen People Ministries to serve in the Philadelphia area, Ken established a Russian Messianic Jewish ministry. The opportunity to serve eight months in Israel enlarged Ken and Frances' hearts for Israelis. After four years in South Florida planting a Messianic congregation, the Alprens felt the Lord's leading to leave Chosen People Ministries to return to the Nashville area as their base for ministry to the Jewish people.

Rabbi Alpren serves as the Rabbi and Pastor of Congregation Kol Dodi.  Kol Dodi is an SBC ethnic ministry.

Rabbi Alpren served the SBMF as President in past years and is now serving as an Executive Board Member for the SBMF.

Baruch HaShem Yeshua

SBMF Prayer Requests & Prayer Reports:

Please pray for the following ministries in need.

Please pray for North Star Church / Jon and Jennifer, friends of the SBMF I found out about this new work while making arrangements for the SBMF Annual Meeting.  This is a new work in the Greensboro, NC area.  Jon Smith and Jennifer Hess are the missionaries starting this new work.  This is not a Messianic Ministry but it is a new work in Yeshua and they need our prayers.   Also Please pray for Jon and Jennifer who were married on April 8th.   Please pass this on to your brother and sister prayer worriers.  They meet at 8432 Norcross Rd. Colfax, NC. 27235

New Work In Flint:  Our prayers are to start a Messianic new work in Flint.

New Work In Detroit Michigan:  Shalom Ministries.  John Denson

New Hope New York: Our vision is to start a Messianic new work in New York City.

The SBMF Greensboro Encampment.

Please pray for Crossover Triad:  Please pray that our brothers and sisters who work Crossover Triad, will bring life and light to the lost in Greensboro during this event.

"This year's Crossover rally, held on Saturday and Sunday, June 10-11, will set the tone for the witnessing theme. During "Crossover Triad" hundreds of Southern Baptists will hit the streets of Greensboro and the surrounding cities of Winston-Salem and High Point to share the Gospel. Welch has spoken in churches and rallies throughout North Carolina since early March."  By Michael Foust Baptist Press

Please pray for the SBC Pastors Conference:  Our pastors, Church leaders and serving-ones need our prayers as they stand in the gap for us.

Please pray for the SBC Annual Meeting:  This meeting follows the Pastors Conference.

Remember to pray for the lost.  The gift of life was given to us to give to others.

Please keep all of these new works in your prayers.

Baruch HaShem Yeshua (Praise the name of Jesus).  Rabbi & Pastor Ken Alpren will lead us in Worship Music during our meetings.

Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much. [James 5:16]

We alone are not righteous.  Our righteousness is found only in our L-rd and Savior Yeshua Ha’Mashiach (Jesus the Messiah).  As we are found in Him, in faith, we are found in His righteousness.

"And all things you ask in prayer , believing, you will receive." [Matt 21:22  NASU]

We are looking forward to our coming together in praise, fellowship and learning. Remember Hebrews 10:23-25

We are also looking forward to seeing you at the 2006 SBMF Annual Meetings.  Unless we hear the shofar sound and a call from above, "Come up here."

Baruch Ha'bah B'Shem Adonai

Remember The Greensboro Encampment is Coming in June:

Baruch Ha'bah B’Shem Adonai.  [Psalms 118:26]

Blessed is He Who comes in the Name of the L-rd. [Matthew 23:29]

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.   [Hebrews 10:23-25]

If you need to know more please contact us.  If you are seeking the Face of   G-d and looking for His Mashiach to come, please contact us.  If you don't know who Yeshua is and who He can be in your life, please contact us.

If you are thinking of attending our annual meetings, please contact us.  We would love to see you.

For Questions:   Please click the link to SBMF Membership link in the SBMF Links section at the top right of this page.  Please fill in the questions or give us your name and email address.  In the space marked Current Church or Congregation type the words:  "I have a question".   We will get back to you soon.

But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in His wings; and you will go forth and skip about like calves from the stall.  [Malachi 4:2 in NASU & 3:20 in the Tanach]

We pray that all is well with you.  G-d is so good.  He is blessing us all the time.  Be safe, be healthy, be blessed, be found in Yeshua.

We are what we eat.  Feast on the Tree of Life.  Be filled with Light and Life.  Read the Word of G-d and be blessed.

Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.  [Revelation 1:3  NKJV]

Baruch Ha’ba B’Shem Adonai

Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD!  [Ps 118:26 NKJV]

The L-rd bless you, and watch over you; The L-rd make His face shine on you, And be gracious to you;  The L-rd lift up His countenance on you, And give you peace.   [NASU  Numbers 6:24-26]

Shalom Alechem
