guests. He and members of his congregation participated
throughout the event.

The
Erev Shabbat Teaching was was given by Rabbi Ric Worshill.
|
Ric
spoke about the theme found in Luke 21:25-28. He supported his thesis
with references from John 4:31-38; Matthew 9:36-38; Luke 10:2-3;
Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:14-18; 2 Timothy 4:5. His illustration
was to encourage the SBMF ministry leaders and members to disciple new
believers and their fellow mature believers to go outside the walls of
the congregation, serving in the mission fields.
|
The
Shabbat Teachings on Saturday, June 8th, were outstanding. Some of
the guest speakers who were scheduled to speak that day had to cancel
their attendance, due to various reasons. The L-rd sent us
wonderful speakers in their place.
|
Rabbi
Jay Fielding from Marietta, GA came and spoke about our ministries
being Kingdom minded. Brother Jay gave us a foundation to stand
on in our mission to reaching the Jewish People Group and connecting
with the Local Church to accomplish this task. Rabbi Jay is the
founder and manager of Beth Chaim Messianic Congregation Network in
Marietta, GA.
|
|
Sister Amy Downey is the
Director and Missionary of Tezdakah Ministries. Sister Amy used
examples from her ministry service to encourage the attendees to
minister Yeshua to all people groups. Sister Amy illustrated the
blessings we witness and the problems we encounter. She is an
evangelist and public speaker.

|
North American Mission
Board, National Mobilizer,
Dr. Bob Burton spoke in the afternoon on Shabbat. Brother Bob
illustrated the Tabernacle in his teaching. His illustration was
about our relationship with the Living G-d of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
He proclaimed how we need to view the Tabernacle's function in our
lives, ministries and outreach. By day or night, follow G-d's
Move.
|
|
Dr. H. Bruce Stokes,
The SBMF Vice-President, spoke to the Shabbat evening group. One
Body, One Mind. Brother Bruce
spoke on the Body of Christ joining together to preach the Good News to
all people groups. His teaching encouraged us to work with other
Christian groups for the Kingdom purpose.

As
soon as we can we will be posting some of the video of these teachings
for all to see. Some of the photographs of this event will be
published on our SBMF Facebook Page Photo Gallery. Our Facebook page is
located at:

Baptist Messianic Fellowship on Facebook
All
in all we had a wonderful time. During the day on Shabbat we had
an attendance of 130+ people. The other sessions were attended by
35 to 60 people.

Business Meeting News
Brother
Randall Clark presented a tribute to our dear departed brother, Jerry
Young. Brother Jerry was one of the founding fathers of the SBMF.
There will be a news page published with the text of that document.
Brother
Randall Clarke presented a motion to make a web page illustrating the
specialties of each of the ministers and ministries affiliated with the
SBMF. This page will have contact information for each of our
members who would like others to know how to contact them for
presentations like Pesach Seders, Tabernacle Illustrations, Hebraic
Roots Teachings, Feast Teachings, Hebraic Eschatology and Jewish
Evangelism for the Local Church. This page will illustrate to our
web page visitors, who they can have come and teach a class or classes
related to topics where our members specialize.
Brother
Bruce Stokes is working with Brother Michael Hertz to prepare our
501(c)(3) to move to another state where it can be monitored
better. This involves meeting the requirements of that state for
corporate structure and constitutional or by-laws requirements.
New
Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary has the Messianic Studies course

Trustees approve new academic division, new degrees, elect faculty
As
soon as we have more information we will forward it on to you.
We
will purchase two roll up signs to post at SBC Annual Meetings, State
Conventions and Local Associational Meetings. The estimated cost
of each sign is about $150. We need to be more visible at these
events.
There
are several other new resources that we are working on for our members
and their ministries.

Shalom
Y’all. Greetings from the Southern Baptist Messianic
Fellowship.
“The grace of the
L-rd Jesus Christ, and the love of G-d, and the fellowship of the Holy
Spirit, be with you all.” [2
Cor. 13:14 NASU]
I
am telling the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience testifies
with me in the Holy Spirit, that I have great sorrow and unceasing grief
in my heart. For I could wish that I myself were accursed, separated from
Christ for the sake of my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh, who
are Israelites, to whom belongs the adoption as sons, and the glory and
the covenants and the giving of the Law and the temple service and the
promises, whose are the fathers, and from whom is the Christ according to
the flesh, who is over all, G-d blessed forever. Amen. [Romans 9:1-5]
Brethren,
my heart's desire and my prayer to G-d for them is for their salvation.
[Romans 10:1]
For
I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of G-d for salvation
to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in
it the righteousness of G-d is revealed from faith to faith; as it is
written, "But the righteous man shall live by faith."
[Romans 1:16-17]
Do
you not say, 'There are yet four months, and then comes the harvest'?
Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look on the fields, that they
are white for harvest. [John
4:35]
Go
therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the
name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to
observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to
the end of the age. [Matthew
28:19-20]
And
He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all
creation. [Mark 16:15]
For
Zion's sake I will not keep silent, And for Jerusalem's sake I will not
keep quiet, Until her righteousness goes forth like brightness, And her
salvation like a torch that is burning.
[Isaiah 62:1]
But
you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an
evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
[2 Timothy 4:5]

The
L-rd bless you, and watch over you; The L-rd make His face
shine on you, and be gracious to you; The L-rd lift up His
countenance on you, and give you peace.
