SBMF Annual Meeting News from our SBMF Annual Meetings in Baltimore, MA. June 6-7, 2014
Shalom Y’all. “The grace of the L-rd Jesus Christ, and the love of G-d, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.”
News Flash #1: Our meetings went well. We had a small turnout this year. Several people were on mission trips and some had just returned to the USA from mission trips. Lodging in Baltimore was costly. There were baseball games at the stadium that was next door to our meeting place. The worship music was wonderful and we had some visitors.
News Flash #2: Our annual meeting will be in Columbus, OH next year. We plan to have our meetings on June 12-13, 2015. Lodging in and transportation to and from Columbus is more cost effective. Please start praying about attending our next meetings in Columbus, OH. If you are thinking about attending please contact us. Next year we will have a pre-registration so we can find out how many attendees there will be. We will need to get a better count of attendees to plan the event. The SBC Executive Committee pays for a room for us if we can’t find a local church or Messianic congregation to meet is. They have been wonderful to us. There is no charge for attending any of our meetings. Please bring family, congregation members, friends and guests. Please tell your friends in that area that these meetings will open to all.
News Flash #3: The SBMF is now a self-supported ministry under the Southern Baptist Convention, Executive Committee. We have been assigned to the SBC Executive Committee as one of the several ethnic and language ministries.
News Flash #4: Your President, Ric Worshill, was chosen to serve on the Southern Baptist Convention, Executive Committee, Multi-Ethnic Advisory Council.
News Flash #5: This year we voted on joining the Lausanne Consultation on Jewish Evangelism as a group membership. This makes it possible for any of our members, who our up to date in their dues, to be members of that prestigious international Messianic organization. If you are an individual member you will need to send us an email listing your name, address and email address so we can forward it on to the North American office of the Lausanne Consultation on Jewish Evangelism. If your congregation has a group SBMF membership you may have the congregational leader send us a list of the people who would like to also be on the Lausanne Consultation on Jewish Evangelism email list. We will need their name address, and email address for this submission also. For more information please go to the Lausanne Consultation on Jewish Evangelism web sites at: http://www.lcje-na.org/ - http://www.lcje.net/ - The Lausanne Movement
News Flash #6: H. Bruce Stokes spoke about the five major covenants in the Bible. Michael Herts preached on Isaiah, Chapter 6. Mark Hobafcovich (NAMB Mobilization Group) preached on Acts 17:24-34, Pauls’ Mars Hill Sermon.
News Flash #7: The worship music on Friday evening was by Neal and Kim Surasky (from Kehilat Sar Shalom) located in the Baltimore/DC area. The Saturday music worship was led by Robert Frost. We had two wonderful days of music worship and teachings.
News Flash #8: Bruce Stokes reported on the progress of our new SBMF constitution work and Michael Herts reported on the progress of our new and revised 501(c)(3) application process. Hal and Esther Garrett were not in attendance as they just returned home from the mission fields. Bruce Mills reported on the current situation is Israel. Ric Worshill reported on the new works that are up and running and one that is starting soon in Buffalo, NY. During the SBC Annual meeting we had several meetings with SBC state church planting and evangelism directors, associational missionaries and pastors. The Many Faces Booth on the SBC Exhibit Floor was a huge success. We made a wonderful new connection with Pastor Jerry Clark of Lands of Faith Tours, 1-888-658-1126, www.landsoffaithtours.com
Brother Bruce Stokes brought a few cases of the new Tree of Life Version of the Holy Scriptures Bibles for us to hand out. We gave two presentation editions out. One was presented to Dr. Frank Page and Dr. Ken Weathersby of the SBC Executive Committee. These were presented at the Many Faces – Multi-Ethnic Reception. We have posted some photographs on our Southern Baptist Messianic Fellowship Facebook pages.
News Flash #9: Below is the list of the 2014 elected executive officers and regional directors. The list of regional directors reflects our commitment to serve with SBC and NAMB in cooperation with their plan to plant more congregations.

Last but not least we need all of our members to send us your 2014 annual dues. If you have already sent in your dues for 2014 please disregard this request. We have a working list of all who have paid this years dues.
The single membership only was in effect until our meetings in New Orleans, last year. After that meeting the group membership fees will apply to congregational membership.
Individual membership will still cost $25 per year.
Congregational membership of a congregation of up to 50 people will cost $250 per year. With this type of membership we will need each congregation to submit a list of those members names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses, who wish to be listed as SBMF members.
For a congregation of 50 to 100 members the congregational membership cost will be $350 per year. With this type of membership we will also need each congregation to submit a list of those members names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses, who wish to be listed.
There is one restriction related to voting. Only active members, attending the SBMF Annual Meetings will be eligible to vote on any SBMF business.
Please make the check out to "SBMF" and mark in the notes field "Membership". Mail your 2013 dues to SBMF in care of Hal Garrett, Eastwood Circle, Walnut Ridge, AR. 72476
We look forward to another year of witness to the L-rd’s move in our fellowship. There have been so many blessings and accomplishments. The L-rd is providing for the needs of His ministry work among the Jewish people group and the others who our members have contact with. We also hope to see you in Columbus, OH in June 2015.
Please keep us posted on your prayer needs. We will pass it on to the kadoshim (saints).
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:1-2)
“Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” [Hebrews 10:23-25]
"Do you not say, 'There are yet four months, and then comes the harvest'? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest." [John 4:35]
"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." [Matthew 28:19-20]
"And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation." [Mark 16:15]
"For Zion's sake I will not keep silent, And for Jerusalem's sake I will not keep quiet, Until her righteousness goes forth like brightness, And her salvation like a torch that is burning.: [Isaiah 62:1]
"But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry." [2 Timothy 4:5]

The L-rd bless you, and watch over you; The L-rd make His face shine on you, and be gracious to you; The L-rd lift up His countenance on you, and give you peace. [Numbers 6:24-26]
