Good News – The Encampment Was
Wonderful:
Lift up your eyes round about and see; They
all gather together, they come to you.
Your sons will come from afar, And your daughters will be carried
in the arms. Then you will
see and be radiant, And your heart will thrill and rejoice;
[Isaiah 60:4-5]
Come, let us worship and bow down, Let us
kneel before the LORD our Maker. 7
For He is our God, And we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of
His hand. [Psalms 95:6-7]
Then Ezra blessed the LORD the great God. And
all the people answered, " Amen, Amen!" while lifting up their hands; then they bowed low and
worshiped the LORD with their faces to the ground.
[Nehemiah 8:5-6]
We
pray that all is well with you. G-d
is so good. We had a
wonderful time in worship, prayer, praise and fellowship.
Be healthy, be safe, be blessed, be found in Yeshua Ha'Mashiach.
SBMF
Encampment And Meeting News:
The
2007 SBMF Encampment Was In San Antonio This Year.
We had a wonderful time at the worship services,
study time and meetings. The
convention this year was fruitful. We
felt the covering of prayer from the saints in San Antonio.
We found out that there were two local Churches who were in prayer
for the SBC Annual Meeting Events. There
was an atmosphere of the covering of G-d.
There was a good turnout at the meetings this year,
despite notifications of last minute cancellations from about 30 SBMF
brothers and sisters. We had
a total of 62 members and guests in attendance this year.
There were several SBMF brothers and sisters who were on mission
somewhere. They were also not
able to attend. There were others who were not able to attend
because of ministry, personal or financial reasons. We pray that
all who missed the meetings were blessed where they were and we missed them dearly.
I pray that all can attend our meetings in Indianapolis next year.
Please forgive me, but I pray "Baruch
Ha'bah B'Shem Adonai" "Blessed is He who comes in the name of the
L-rd."
Thursday afternoon and evening June 8th
several of the members gathered together for some time of fellowship.
We went to the San Antonio River Walk and took a boat ride
together. What a time we had.
Friday afternoon June 9th, several of us
met at the meeting room to set up the sound system and make final
arrangements for the services. Before
we went back to our rooms to get ready for the meetings, we gathered
together to pray for the meetings.
Friday evening (Erev Shabbat) we gathered together in
worship. On that Erev Shabbat
we had a good size group of about 30 to 35 brothers and sisters.
Brother Ken Alpren lead us in worship with the assistance of
Brother Mike Saffle and my wife Gwenn Worshill.
Ken’s wife Francis gave the blessing over the Shabbis candles.
The teaching was on Roman Chapter 9.
I will post the outline from that teaching on a page for the
teaching notes.
Please forgive me as I was not able to record the
meetings and teachings. My
mp3 recorder malfunctioned.
On Shabbat we had a total of 62 members and guests in
attendance. The Shabbat
Yeshiva worship, praise, prayer and study was a blessing.
The teachings were informative and useful.
We had three speakers.
Aslam Masih, a brother from the Church Planting Group
Middle Eastern People Groups of the North American Mission Board spoke
about the relevance of associational and Cooperative Program involvement. He spoke about the need for prayer in this spiritual warfare.
His example of his going to a Somali Muslim community, in the USA,
to preach the Gospel to the Muslims, was an encouragement to us.
Brother Aslam emphasized the following points:
•Prayer
•Vision
•Leadership and Church Growth
•Awareness
•Enlisting
•Equipping
•Reproducing
Aslam
said that this is a G-d sized task.
Brother Jack Kinsella (book author "The Last
Generation - Ten Signs Of the End Of The Age", TV documentary
writer, script writer for Hal Lindsey and writer, publisher and editor of
the daily web ministry
called “The Omega Letter”) spoke about the relevance of Israel in the
Bible. He taught us
about the prophetic Biblical relevance of the Jewish people.
He spoke about the critical
importance of the need for Jewish evangelism.
Brother Jack illustrated the condition of the present times and the
relationship that Israel has with the coming of the L-rd.
You can see and hear his teaching on his web site:
http://www.omegaletter.com/index.asp?ArticleID=28
To
obtain this new book please go to www.omegaletter.com
or look for ISBN: 978-0-9767811-8-9, published by True Potential
Publishing, Inc. www.tppress.com.
Brothers Jack
and Aslam did a wonderful job of firing up the troops. We received
excellent comments from the SBMF attendees about their
teachings. This is the first time that a prophetic teaching has been
given to the SBMF at an annual meeting. The response was
excellent. Many of the SBMF attendees plan to use the Omega Letter
as a resource for teachings and critical news updates.
Sister Amy Downey from Tzedakah Ministries introduced us to the
ministry that she works for the building up of the saints.
The theme of her teaching was, "To Equip His Church to Reach
His People". You can
contact Sister Amy at her web site: http://www.tzedakahministries.org.
Sister Amy has developed several ministry resources to help you
reach the remnant of Israel. These ministry resources are free and I pray that they will
be a blessing to your ministries.
Steve Kaplan of
Mount Vernon Baptist Church - Jewish Outreach Ministry came to our
meetings and gave a report about his Jewish outreach ministry. Brother Steve came with gifts for the attendees.
Brother Steve came with t-shirts that had a Mogan David on the back
with the words “Jesus Loves You” in the center of the star.
You can reach brother Steve of ministry resources at
StevenBKaplan@aol.com
Brother
Aslam and the North American Mission Board treated 54 of our attendees to
lunch on June 9th. The
brothers and sisters all walked over to Schilo’s Delicatessen located at 423 E. Commerce, San Antonio,
TX. Orders had been placed in
advance. We thank the
manager, Debbie, and the staff at Schilo’s Deli for taking such good
care of us that day. The food
was good and the fellowship was wonderful.
After Lunch Brother Jack Kinsella
answered questions about prophecy and the situation in Israel. We
could have kept him there, asking questions, for hours.
After a short break we assisted some of our member congregations and the sponsoring Church of a
missionary, by representing them, in holding an ordination service for
their ministers. There were five Messianic Ministers ordained into
the Gospel Ministry as Messianic Rabbis. Each congregation sent
representatives to witness the ordination service. The SBMF was
assisting the member congregations in the same way a local association
would assist in an ordination. In the months after the Annual
Meetings we hope to be send an SBMF representative to those congregations
for an ordination installation service.
We scheduled two wonderful preachers
to preach at the Ordination Service. Baruch HaShem Yeshua.
Brother (Pastor) Larry Kindrick from First Baptist Church, Hardy, Arkansas preached the charge to the congregation. Director of
Missions, Brent Powell (Black River Baptist Association, Hoxie, Arkansas)
preached the charge to the Ministers who had been called to ordination as
Ministers of the Gospel and Messianic Rabbis.

"In our
contact with the saints we should have only one motive: To minister Christ
to them so that they may grow in the L-rd. Then G-d will send His
Word as the rain and snow that water his people to sanctify, transform,
and conform them to His image for the building up of the Body."
(Marty Roberts, Chicago, Illinois) [Isa, 55:10-11; Eph. 4:15-16].
Our
vision is to the accomplish the Goal of G-d’s Economy and to Gain His
Testimony through the Body (the kadoshim - the saints), by building up the
saints in one accord, founded on His Word.
Where there is no vision, the people
perish: [Proverbs 29:18 KJV]
The vision:
We must lead others to the Eternal Kingdom of Mashiach Yeshua. Our
one vision and one purpose is to bring new life into the Body and His
Kingdom.
We must work
the good work of Christ together, running the race hand in hand so no one
can fall behind and no one can compete by running ahead: One body,
one mind, one spirit, founded on the one true Gospel.
Our job in the
SBMF is to help resource the brethren to lead others to Light and Life in
Yeshua. As Messianic
Ministers of the Gospel we work this mission by lifestyle evangelism.
We work to help our ministers and missionaries be more effective in
sharing Mashiach to our Jewish kinsman and all people groups.
After the ordination service we broke for
supper.
At 7pm we returned to the meeting room to
hold our Annual Business Meetings. Upon
our arrival one of the convention centers employees came to us to ask for
prayer. This person came to
know us in the short time we were in San Antonio.
The entire group at the meeting stopped everything and laid hands
on this person with prayer.
When we started our meeting the ministry representatives in
attendance gave ministry reports. Upon
moving to new business and the elections the membership in quorum voted
unanimously to suspend the elections for one year. This was a motion from the floor as they were pleased with
the progress and direction the fellowship had been moving.
This gives the leadership team one more year to continue to
resource the members’ ministries to help them share Yeshua with the
nations and all creation. Acts
1:8; Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15

Sunday
afternoon we had a Davidic Dance Practice. There was 14 people in
attendance. This was a time of fellowship and fun.
During the
Pastors conference we were able to witness some wonderful teachings,
worship and fellowship.
SBMF
Business Meetings:
During the SBC
Annual Meeting we were able to have numerous meetings to gain resources
for our SBMF brothers and sisters. We will continue to work on these
projects.
We met with
several Church leaders and Associational Directors of Missions to build
partnerships. We spoke about our fellowship and the members
within. We plan to continue working together as we help them reach
the Jewish communities around their local Churches. We also pray
that local Churches will be called to support Messianic works in their
areas.
We met
with Mark Hobafcovich and Aslam Masih from NAMB. At this
working lunch we were able to illustrate the call to us to preach the
Gospel to the Jewish people and our need to be known within the SBC.
Brother Mark, Aslam and your SBMF leadership are working hard to build a
proactive working relationship with NAMB.
We are
presently working with NAMB on the following projects: Beth Chaim; We are
looking for a Worship location for Valley Of Blessings in Greensboro, NC;
A new work in the Atlanta area; a new work in New York City; Missions
service Corps status for our missionaries; We are also working on several
other future Jewish outreach projects; We are working on a booth for
next years SBC exhibit floor; We are also working on financial help for
the SBMF.
We also hope to
work with Brother David Powell from NAMB to gain partnerships for our
member ministries. A few weeks before the convention brother David
came to Illinois and met me concerning the SBMF. We spoke about the
vision of the SBMF and our outreach to the Jewish communities all over the
USA. We spoke about our need to build partnerships with SBC local
churches. We also spoke about ways to let our SBC local churches and
associations know that we are available to help them preach the Good news
of Yeshua to to the Jewish people, who live around them.
Please pray for
these dear brothers and sisters at NAMB. There are so many who have
been working to help our fellowship. Please life up brothers Aslam Masih, Mark Hobafcovich and David
Powell. They are working closely with us to resource our SBMF ministries.
Continuing
Education Options:
We were
blessed to meet and speak with brothers and sisters from several
universities and seminaries that build up the saints to build up the
saints. These schools have classes available to help you in your
ministries. Please contact them if you are interested in continuing
your education. These schools have educational programs like,
on-line studies, on-site group training, on-campus and distance learning
programs. There are several other SBC schools and SBC sponsored
schools who can help you grow in your ministries. The schools that we
spoke to at the SBC Annual Meetings are listed below:

Please
Continue To Pray:
We are praying that we will be able to be
fully sponsored by NAMB in the future. We pray that NAMB will
request SBC Convention Relations to allow us to have a booth at the SBC
Annual Meeting in Indy, next year. We need our brothers and sisters
in the SBC to know who we are and how we can help.
We
would like to let our SBC Brothers and Sisters know who we are and how we
can help them in this race we run together, leading the nations and our
Jewish kinsman to Yeshua. To this date several SBC ministries and
Churches have used the services of or partnered with groups like the MJAA,
UMJC, Chosen People Ministries and Jews for Jesus. We need to be
more visible to our SBC Brothers and Sisters. Without the support of
NAMB this can not be accomplished.
At
the SBC Annual Meeting in Nashville the Credentials Committee voted to
turn our being recognized by SBC over to NAMB for evaluation. Your
leadership has been working hard to illustrate the function, purpose and
need for our people group lifestyle evangelism to NAMB and SBC.
The
Cooperative Program:
Please
remember to support the NAMB Cooperative Program as this is the way we can
receive help and funding for our members' ministries. If you are
giving to your local or state SBC associations we appreciate this gift of
love. If you are not able to give to a local or state SBC
association please send your donations to the SBMF, marked as dedicated to
the Cooperative Program and we will add it to that account and send your
donation on the NAMB.
If
you feel called to give to the SBMF directly please send your donations,
marked dedicated to the Southern Baptist Messianic Fellowship, directly to
us at the following address.
Please
make all checks payable

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ:
for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to
the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to
faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. [Rom 1:16-17 KJV]
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy
Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded
you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
[Matt 28:19-20 KJV]
Say not ye, There are yet four months, and
then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look
on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.
[John 4:35 KJV]
Go ye into all the world, and preach the
gospel to every creature. [Mark 16:15 KJV]
The voice of one crying in the wilderness:
"Prepare the way of the L-RD; Make straight in the desert A
highway for our G-d. Every
valley shall be exalted And every mountain and hill brought low; The
crooked places shall be made straight And the rough places smooth;
The glory of the L-RD shall be revealed, And all flesh shall see it
together; For the mouth of
the L-RD has spoken."
[Isaiah 40:3-5 NKJV]

Hear
Israel the L-rd our G-d, the L-rd is One
To
Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood — and He has
made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father —
to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
BEHOLD, HE IS COMING WITH THE CLOUDS, and every eye will see Him, even
those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over
Him. So it is to be. Amen. "I
am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, " who is and who
was and who is to come, the Almighty." [Rev 1:5-8 NASU]
I
was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and I heard behind me a loud voice
like the sound of a trumpet, saying, " Write in a book what you see,
and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to
Pergamum and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea."
Then I turned to see the
voice that was speaking with me. And having turned I saw [Rev
1:10-12 NASU]
Remember
it is about John
heard, he turned, and he saw. To
truly see you need to turn to Yeshua. I heard - I turned - I saw - I
