The 2018 Meeting Summary
In Summary but not verbatim: There were 24 members present at the meeting. There were five guests, including two from the Baptist Press. We discussed our 501(c)(3) situation and new constitution and bylaws. At this point we are still operating under the 501(c)(3) of the SBC. There were reports on the LCJE-NA meeting, our participation in the SBC Executive Committee and other ministry reports. One member made a motion to ask the SBC Executive Committee to exclude CUFI from having a booth on the exhibit floor. Prior to our meeting the SBMF President attended a pre-convention meeting with some Executive Committee leaders. He expressed the SBMF objection to CUFI’s booth at that gathering. Next year CUFI or some non-evangelical exhibitors that do not agree to the Baptist Faith and Message will not be vetted for participation on the exhibit floor of the convention. This will not stop commercial venders from having their booths. The process of vetting venders will be modified. Next year the SBC Annual Meetings will be in Birmingham, AL. We will start preparations and plans in November of 2018. Please pray about attending this next 2019 SBMF & SBC Annual Meeting in Birmingham, AL. If your SBMF membership is not up to date please make that correction as soon as possible. http://www.sbmessianic.net/join.shtml.

The Regional Directors serve as Deacons and a Deaconess, responsible for care of members in their regional area. It is understood that we all have our own ministries where we serve. The volunteer function of the SBMF Regional Director is understood to be secondary to their individual ministry service.
The booth service went well. We gave away several gross of Keppot and an unknown number of handouts. We made several new contacts with local Church leaders, other exhibitors and venders. This booth is one of the most powerful ways to connect with SBC Church leaders.
We will continue to manage a group membership with the LCJE-NA
For a copy of the meeting minutes please contact our SBMF Executive Director Ric Worshill
Soon there will be some photographs that will illustrate the booth ministry at the SBC Annual Meetings.
