A ministry to both Christians and Jews that describes the importance of the Tabernacle  today.   We have a 90:1 scale model of the  tabernacle.  In our costumes, we show a PowerPoint presentation of the articles of the tabernacle.  We set up a table of rocks, acacia wood and other things from the holy land that you can touch and see.  We have a program for children called “Lifestyles in Israel” that tells how the children in Israel celebrate Purim, Passover and Chanukah.  We present God's plan, foretelling of Yeshua through the tabernacle and the requirement for the shedding of blood as remission of sin and how Yeshua shed His blood as the perfect sacrifice for sin once for all. We encourage them to study the Torah and writings and to know their roots.

  Lifestyles in Israel

This is a program designed for children in first through sixth grade.  We begin with a power point presentation of pictures of a teen working in the old city of Jerusalem.  We view schools, synagogues, and apartment complexes.  We see parades, festivals and sporting events.

We teach about Purim.

When the class sees the pictures of Israeli children in costume,  they say halloween.   We tell the story of Esther with a special doll and they love booing Haman.  At the end of the story the class realizes Purim is about thanksgiving.

We teach about Hanukkah. 

We talk about the Greeks defiling the temple and how Judas  Macabee led his people to defeat the Greeks.  The temple was cleaned and rededicated to God.  Only enough pure oil was found to burn for one day, but the oil burned for eight days  until more could be purified.   God does perform miracles!  We show the difference between a menorah  and a hanukeah.

We teach about Passover.

We tell the story of the plagues and the special lamb of the first Passover.  With pictures on posterboard the class helps tell the story.  They learn about God’s provision and protection. They learn how the tabernacle is linked to the Passover.  We have a model of the tabernacle and the 10 Commandments. This program has been presented at children’s camps, Christian schools, Awanas and GA and RA groups.
